The Sacagawea Horn
I completed it in March of 2015.

- “Sacagawea” This iconic image used by permission of the artist Michael Haynes, shows the Shoshone Indian woman Sacagawea with her child “Pompei” in a cradle board.
- At the engrailed edge, delicate engraving is accented by a bold engraved border inlaid with turquoise. Above the engrailing fluted features flow into a simple ring. The spout is faceted.
- A turned walnut base plug is surmounted with an artificial ivory medallion upon which a rose has been engraved. The staple is fine silver wire.
- The inside curve of the horn features cartouche for the new owner’s name. A pair of elk antlers over which a banner is draped.
